Nebraska Elk Hunting
Directory of 5 Nebraska Elk hunting lodges, guides and outfitters in Nebraska.
Comstock Lodge provides the best and most honest elk hunting in all of the central United States. Trophy bulls freely-roam thousands of acres in central Nebraska hill and canyon land. The terrain and habitat are exceptional, allowing for a genuine hunting experience. Our professional big game guides will take you on a hunt of a lifetime. During mid-September through mid-October you can experience the heart of the rut. For a mid-western elk hunt, this is as good as it gets whether you experience the Comstock Lodge by yourself, or with friends, family or a corporate group, we work to create the sort of atmosphere you would expect from close friends. We encourage Dads and Sons or daughters to hunt together and have that bond for a life-time.

Same as the mule deer, our typical and traditional elk hunting strategy is the spot-n-stalk method and playing the wind. We also utilize the use of multiple ground blinds as well as treestands to hunt certain areas where blinds and stands are most effective, possibly over a wallow, field, or food plot where they’ve been feeding frequently. This allows us to be able to accommodate any hunter no matter his physical wellbeing or age. This Nebraska Elk season is currently only open to residents who draw the correct permit. We allow all Nebraska Resident Elk hunting on our property and will accommodate any Resident who is fortunate enough to draw a tag.

BULL ELK - Your bull elk hunt will be at the Ash Creek and Hat Creek Units. Mature bulls in the 350" + range are the goal. We use several well-placed permanent blinds. Most elk hunts are spot and stalk. COW ELK - If you are serious about filling your freezer with the best big game meat, we can help you fill that tag. Like the bulls, we hunt elk cows in the Ash Creek and the Hat Creek units. Two seasons – early and late – make for a great experience. In truth, the cows can be more challenging to get in shot range than the bulls. Plus, they are better eating.
