In Nevada we offer guided elk hunts in most units in the state and if we don't guide there we can recommend a good outfitter. These hunts are in prime elk territory with an excellent chance of harvesting a bull of a lifetime. We will thoroughly scout for your hunt prior to your arrival and will do everything in our power to make this the hunt of a lifetime that it should be. These tags are very hard to come by so we recommend going with two guides but we will customize the hunt to meet your needs and goals. Our success rate in Nevada has been 100%. We have not ever had an unsuccessful elk hunter. This is a limited draw hunt with the application deadline being in mid-April. Nevada landowner tags are also available. Elk have now become a premiere animal in Nevada. Our herd is growing at an unbelievable rate. Bulls are being harvested in upwards of 350 pts. B&C score, in 1999 we took a 402 Bull. We look forward to more 400+ score bulls in the near future. Our season is during the peak of the rut, September thru November.

Nevada is home to some of the largest elk in the western United States. All of our elk hunts are 2 guides for every hunter. This is to insure not only a successful hunt but is needed to handle these large animals. We do archery hunts for these big bulls as this is an effective way to harvest big bulls. We communicate with our hunters prior to putting in for the draw to insure the units applied for match their expectations. Accommodations for the hunter are discussed at the time of booking to insure hunter comfort.

Sage-n-Pine's operation takes you into the heart of the Toiyabe-Humboldt National Forest of the Toiyabe, Toquima, Monitor and Shell Creek Mt. Ranges. Operation is under the authorization of Special-Use-Permit through USFS, Austin/Tonopah and Ely Ranger District, and BLM Statewide. These Central and Eastern Mountain Ranges offer some of Nevada's most beautiful and scenic terrain. Streams and pristine meadows skirted with lush riparian habitat. Much of the ranges are covered with juniper, pinyon, mountain mahogany, and sagebrush. You will find limber pine located on a few of the north slopes and ridges.
